The firefly’s trick needs no batteries: charge the tail segment under a lamp, kill the lights, and the desk gets its own bioluminescence. Pose the wings mid-flight on a bookshelf ledge, fold them for the resting stance beside a plant, or station it on a nightstand where the soft glow does quiet duty after dark.
