Products & Materials
What are 3D printed collectibles?
3D printed collectibles are decorative figurines and objects created using industrial 3D printers. At 3DCentral, collectibles are printed on demand at our facility in Laval, Quebec using high-quality PLA filament. Our catalog includes original designs plus popular models from top community artists like Arbiter, Cinderwing3D, McGybeer, Zou3D, Gob3D, Flexi Factory, Twisty Prints, MatMire Makes, and Rextruction. Categories include ducks, gnomes, fantasy figurines, seasonal editions, and artist series — over 4,367 designs.
Where are your products made?
All 3DCentral products are printed and quality-checked at our print farm in Laval, Quebec, Canada. Our catalog features original 3DCentral designs alongside curated models from top community artists. We operate over 200 industrial 3D printers and every collectible is printed on demand — no overseas mass production, no excess inventory. We are proud to be a Made in Canada brand contributing to the local manufacturing ecosystem.
Are 3D printed collectibles safe and durable?
Yes. All 3DCentral collectibles are printed using high-quality PLA filament, a plant-based biodegradable thermoplastic that is non-toxic and safe for handling. These figurines are designed as decorative display pieces and should not be used for food contact. PLA produces smooth, durable finishes that hold fine detail. Our figurines are designed for adults and collectors — they are built to last on your shelf and resist normal handling. Each piece goes through quality inspection at our facility in Laval, Quebec before shipping.
What types of 3D printed figurines do you sell?
Our catalog features over 4,367 decorative figurine designs across multiple collections, including original 3DCentral designs and popular models from top community artists such as Arbiter, Cinderwing3D, McGybeer, Zou3D, Gob3D, Flexi Factory, Twisty Prints, MatMire Makes, and Rextruction. Popular categories include 3D printed ducks, 3D printed gnomes, and fantasy figurines. We also release exclusive seasonal editions every quarter and curate artist series collaborations. Everything is 3D printed on demand at our facility in Laval, Quebec.
What colors and materials are available?
All 3DCentral collectibles are currently printed using PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based thermoplastic known for excellent detail, smooth surface finish, and vibrant color reproduction. We offer a wide range of standard colors including black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, and purple, as well as specialty finishes like silk, matte, and translucent. Color availability varies by product — each listing shows the available options. We are expanding into PETG for outdoor-safe pieces and plan to add specialty filaments including glow-in-the-dark and color-changing materials.
How much do 3D printed collectibles cost?
Prices vary depending on the size, complexity, and material of each collectible. Most of our standard figurines range from $12.99 to $34.99 CAD. Larger display pieces and limited edition seasonal items may be priced higher. We offer quantity discounts for bulk orders, and our Mystery Box subscription provides great value for collectors. Browse the shop to see current pricing.
Can I request a custom design?
We do not currently offer fully custom design services, but we are developing an on-demand printing service where you can upload your own 3D model file (STL, OBJ, or 3MF) and have it printed at our facility. If you have a specific request for a modification to an existing design or a custom color, contact our team and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. For large custom orders or retail partnerships, visit our wholesale page.
How long does printing take?
Print time varies depending on the size and complexity of the design. Small figurines typically take 2-4 hours to print, while larger or highly detailed pieces can take 8-16 hours. Because we operate over 200 industrial 3D printers running around the clock, most orders are produced and ready to ship within 2-5 business days of purchase. Complex or high-volume orders may take slightly longer. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking as soon as your order leaves our facility in Laval, Quebec.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship to the United States?

How long does shipping take for 3D printed orders?
Most orders ship within 2-5 business days from our facility in Laval, Quebec. Since every collectible is 3D printed on demand, production time depends on the complexity of the design and current queue volume. Shipping to Canadian addresses typically takes 3-7 business days, and US orders arrive within 5-10 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes. We offer quantity discounts for bulk orders: 10+ units receive 10% off, 25+ units receive 15% off, and 100+ units receive 20% off. For retail partnerships and wholesale inquiries with minimum order quantities, visit our wholesale page. Wholesale accounts receive dedicated support, priority production, and custom packaging options. Wholesale is separate from our Commercial License, which covers the right to print and sell original 3DCentral designs yourself.
Commercial License
What is the Commercial License and how does it work?
3DCentral offers two subscription tiers for 3D printer owners. The Supporter License ($19.99/mo) grants access to our original STL file library for personal use printing. The Commercial License ($49.99/mo) includes everything in Supporter plus the legal right to print and sell our original designs on platforms like Etsy, Amazon, and at markets. Note: the STL library contains 3DCentral original designs only. Community artist models are available as physical prints in our shop. Visit the license page for full details.
What is the Mystery Box subscription?
The Mystery Box is a monthly subscription where you receive a curated selection of surprise 3D printed collectibles. Each box is themed and rotated seasonally, so you never know exactly what you will get. It is a great way to discover new designs and expand your collection. You can cancel anytime, and shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Will you offer custom 3D printing services?
Yes. We are developing an on-demand custom 3D printing service where you can upload your own design file (STL, OBJ, or 3MF), get an instant volume-based quote, choose your material and color, and have it printed at our facility in Laval, Quebec. The service will focus on decorative objects, figurines, cosplay props, and collectibles. Sign up for our waitlist on the homepage to be notified when it launches.
Returns & Policies
What is your return and refund policy?
Because every item is 3D printed on demand specifically for your order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. However, if your order arrives damaged or with a print defect, we will replace it at no charge. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue. For subscription cancellations, your access ends at the end of the current billing period. See our full refund policy for complete details.
Artist & Design
Who are the community artists featured in your catalog?
Our catalog features prints from some of the most talented commercial 3D design artists in the community, including Arbiter, Cinderwing3D, McGybeer, Zou3D, Gob3D, Flexi Factory, Twisty Prints, MatMire Makes, Rextruction, TheDuckVault, and M2Design. Each artist brings a unique style ranging from articulated figurines and fantasy creatures to whimsical ducks and gnomes. We are always expanding our roster of featured artists.
How do you select which artist designs to feature?
We curate our catalog based on design quality, print reliability, and collector demand. Every model we feature has been test-printed at our facility in Laval, Quebec to ensure it meets our quality standards before being added to the shop. We prioritize artists whose work aligns with our focus on decorative collectibles and who offer commercial licensing for physical print sales.
Can I request a specific artist's design to be added?
Absolutely. We welcome suggestions from our community. If there is a specific artist or design you would like to see in our catalog, contact us with the details. We review every request and reach out to artists whose work aligns with our collectible focus. Popular requests are prioritized in our curation process.
What's the difference between 3DCentral originals and community artist prints?
3DCentral originals are designs created in-house by our team and are covered by the 3DCentral Commercial License for subscribers who want to print and sell them. Community artist prints are models designed by independent 3D artists that we print and sell as physical collectibles. For commercial printing rights to community artist designs, you would need to contact the artist directly.
Do you collaborate with new 3D artists?
Yes. We are always looking for talented 3D designers to feature in our catalog. If you are a 3D artist with original collectible or figurine designs and are interested in having your work printed and sold through our platform, reach out to our team with your portfolio. We handle all printing, quality control, and fulfillment from our facility in Quebec.
How do community artists benefit from 3DCentral featuring their designs?
Community artists benefit from increased visibility and physical product sales without needing to manage their own print farm or fulfillment operation. We handle all production, quality control, packaging, and shipping from our facility in Laval, Quebec. Artists retain ownership of their designs, and featuring on 3DCentral exposes their work to a growing collector community across Canada and the United States.
Care & Maintenance
How should I clean my 3D printed figurine?
Gently dust your figurine with a soft brush or microfiber cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid submerging PLA prints in hot water, as PLA can soften at temperatures above 60°C (140°F). Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol-based products, as these can damage the surface finish or cause discoloration.
Can 3D printed collectibles be displayed outdoors?
Standard PLA collectibles are best suited for indoor display. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause UV degradation and color fading, and temperatures above 60°C may cause warping. If you want an outdoor-safe piece, look for products printed in PETG, which we are adding to our material options. For short-term outdoor display, such as a sheltered patio, PLA prints will hold up fine.
How do I protect my 3D prints from UV damage?
Display your collectibles away from direct sunlight or strong UV light sources. If you want additional protection, you can apply a UV-resistant clear coat spray designed for plastics. A display case or glass cabinet is an excellent option for protecting valuable pieces from both UV exposure and dust while still showing them off.
What's the best way to store 3D printed collectibles?
Store your collectibles in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. For long-term storage, wrap each piece individually in soft tissue paper or bubble wrap and place them in a box to prevent scratching. Avoid storing them in attics, garages, or vehicles where temperatures can exceed 60°C. PLA is dimensionally stable at room temperature and your prints will maintain their shape indefinitely under normal indoor conditions.
Can damaged 3D printed figurines be repaired?
Minor breaks can often be repaired using cyanoacrylate (super glue), which bonds PLA effectively. For best results, apply a thin layer to both surfaces and hold together for 30 seconds. Scuff marks can be minimized with fine-grit sandpaper followed by a clear coat. If a piece arrived damaged during shipping, contact us within 14 days and we will send a free replacement.
Technical / Materials
What is PLA and why do you use it?
PLA (polylactic acid) is a plant-based biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch. We use it because it produces the sharpest detail, smoothest surface finish, and most vibrant colors of any common 3D printing material. PLA is non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendlier than petroleum-based plastics. It is the gold standard for decorative collectibles and figurines in the 3D printing industry.
Will 3D printed figurines melt in a hot car?
PLA has a glass transition temperature of approximately 60°C (140°F). A car interior in direct summer sun can exceed this, which may cause warping or deformation of PLA prints. We recommend not leaving your collectibles in a parked vehicle during warm weather. For transport, keep them in an insulated bag or container. Once at room temperature, PLA is completely stable and will hold its shape indefinitely.
Are the layer lines visible on your products?
Visible layer lines are a characteristic of FDM 3D printing and part of what gives each piece its handcrafted quality. We print at optimized layer heights (typically 0.12-0.20mm) to balance detail with production efficiency. On most collectibles, layer lines are minimal and blend into the design. Many collectors appreciate the layered texture as a hallmark of authentic 3D printed craftsmanship that sets these pieces apart from injection-molded products.
What infill percentage do you use for collectibles?
We use infill percentages optimized for each design, typically ranging from 10% to 20% for standard collectibles. This provides a solid, durable feel while keeping the figurine lightweight for display and cost-effective for shipping. Smaller detailed pieces or those with thin walls may use higher infill for structural integrity. Our print farm team tests every model to determine the optimal settings before production.
How precise are 3D printed details compared to injection molding?
Modern FDM 3D printers achieve dimensional accuracy of approximately 0.1-0.2mm, which is slightly less precise than injection molding but more than sufficient for decorative collectibles. The advantage of 3D printing is the ability to produce highly complex geometries, articulated joints, and intricate designs that would be impossible or prohibitively expensive with traditional molds. Each piece is also unique — you get a handcrafted item rather than a mass-produced copy.
