Character Design
The uniform details—captain’s hat, naval coat, brass buttons—are all scaled appropriately to penguin proportions. The design balances accurate penguin anatomy with anthropomorphized clothing in a way that feels natural rather than forced. The result is a character you can imagine commanding a research vessel through icy seas.

Rank Earned in Cold Waters
The Captain’s uniform is period-correct and the wearer never once questions it — brass buttons, naval coat, and the posture of someone who has seen weather. Desk it as the workspace’s commanding presence, shelf it at the head of the penguin colony where the hierarchy finally formalizes, or gift it to the boat owner whose crew is mostly imaginary. A dry, soft cloth keeps the brass detail bright; ice, though canonical, is not required. Recommended age: 14+. Not a toy. Not intended for children under 14.
The Colony Gets a Chain of Command
With the ninja, unicorn, and panda penguins now formally under command, the costumed colony is at last an organized service.
Each captain is printed at Laval, brass detail and uniform colours inspected before commissioning — reviewed and saluted, in that order.
