A collectible figurine that swaps the standard pointed gnome hat for a ladybug shell — red, spotted, and unreasonably cheerful. It is a decorative display sculpture built for a windowsill or a plant shelf, where the colour has something green to sit against.
Garden imagery, indoor object
Gnomes are usually sold as outdoor ornaments and are usually made accordingly: heavy, weatherproof and coarse. This is the indoor version of the idea — smaller, sharper, and made for a shelf beside the seedlings rather than a flower bed. It sells well to gardeners in the off-season and to anyone whose houseplants have outgrown the sill. Printed in Quebec.
Multi-colour printing
Printed in multi-colour PLA on our own FDM machines at a 0.16 mm layer height. The shell spots and the red field are printed into the model rather than painted on, so there is no coating to flake off the domed hat over time.
Beside the plants
Put it on the sill with the seedlings and the red reads properly against the green — that contrast is the reason the design exists. Keep it out of the watering line, though: standing water will not damage PLA quickly but it will leave mineral marks on a printed surface that do not wipe off.
