A badge you can put on a monitor stand
A collectible figurine that states an identity rather than depicting a job: glasses, posture, the whole self-aware declaration, built as a display piece. It belongs to the small category of objects people buy for themselves, which is unusual for a figurine and worth saying plainly.
Where these end up
Beside the second monitor, on top of the tower, on the shelf above the soldering station, in the lab. The rubber duck has a long, specific history in programming culture as the thing you explain your bug to, and this one leans into that history without needing to spell it out. Printed at our farm in Quebec.
Made to order, one at a time
Printed in PLA on our own FDM machines at a 0.16 mm layer height. Every unit starts printing after the order is placed, which is the reason a catalogue this wide can exist at all — no inventory bet has to be made on any single character.
Desk logistics
It is small enough to live on a monitor stand rather than needing desk surface, which is the only real estate anyone has left. A laptop exhaust vent is the one bad neighbour to avoid over the long term, since sustained warm airflow is what softens PLA.
