Alligators have run wetlands since before the wetlands had names, and the articulation carries the seniority: jaw open for the territorial display, tail mid-sweep along a shelf edge, or the flat patient float beside a keyboard that every kayaker recognizes. The scale texture reads at arm’s length. A soft brush between the joints keeps the patrol mobile; heat lamps are for the living relatives only. Recommended age: 14+. Not a toy. Not intended for children under 14.
