The person who actually calls the show
A collectible figurine of the one job in theatre nobody makes merchandise for: headset on, clipboard up, running everything. It is a display piece for a calling desk or a production office, and it is very obviously made by someone who knew the role existed.
Opening night, and the week after
Opening-night gifts run to cards and flowers, both of which are gone by the strike. A small sculpture stays on the desk through the next four productions. It sells to production teams buying for their SM, to graduating technical theatre students, and to the crew members who know exactly who kept the show upright. Printed in Quebec.
Small props, printed clean
Printed in PLA at a 0.16 mm layer height on our own FDM machines. The headset band and the clipboard edge are the fine features here, and the layer height is set so they stay as distinct objects rather than merging into the body.
At the calling desk
Calling desks are cramped and dark, so it goes on the shelf above rather than beside the script. Wrapped, it travels in a production kit between venues, which is more than most opening-night gifts manage. Dust the headset band with a dry brush.
