The Claw-Foot Gothic Cauldron is a vessel first and an ornament second, which is unusual for a fantasy piece. Three dragon claws form the tripod it stands on, the bowl carries arcane detailing around its outer face, and the inside is left open and usable. It reads as a prop from somewhere specific rather than as generic gothic decor.
A tripod of claws
The three-footed arrangement is the structural idea. Claws splay outward to give a wide, stable stance, and because there are three rather than four, the cauldron sits flat on surfaces that are not quite level — which most shelves are not. The talons are modelled with enough separation to catch shadow underneath, so the bowl appears to be gripped rather than simply resting.
Detailing on the bowl
Arcane symbols and metalwork styling are worked around the exterior. These are shallow-relief details, which is the right choice on a curved surface: cut too deep and a print of this shape starts to lose its silhouette. Under a lamp the symbols pick up enough shadow to be legible from across a room.
It actually holds things
The open interior means this doubles as a small vessel — dice, keys, rings, a handful of loose change on a hall table. Nothing about the design is only-October, so it earns its shelf space the rest of the year too — worth knowing if you assumed it was purely seasonal decor.
Making, provenance and care
Manufactured at our Laval facility in Quebec in premium PLA, printed to hold the claw and symbol detail while keeping the tripod feet structurally sound. The designer is not recorded in our catalogue, so it appears under Unknown Artist; for commercial rights to a community design, contact the artist directly. A decorative collectible for ages 14 and up. PLA softens with heat, so this is not a container for anything hot — keep it to dry items, keep it out of direct sun, and wipe it out dry.
