Feeding dice to a creature whose stare turns adventurers to stone is precisely the drama a boss fight deserves: the die vanishes into the coils and returns with a verdict nobody appeals. Between sessions it coils handsomely beside the campaign books as a piece of fantasy sculpture in its own right, and paired with our wizard and wolf towers it gives a group one roller per table faction. A dry brush along the coiled scales keeps the serpent king presentable between campaigns; keep it off radiators, the one gaze even a basilisk cannot win against. Recommended age: 14+. Not a toy.
