3D Virtual Shopping at 3DCentral: A Guide to the Public Preview

3D virtual shopping means exploring a digital shop to discover physical products. In the 3DCentral Virtual Shop, neon-edged shelves, department signs and figurine models turn browsing into a synthwave room you can explore. The products behind those models are decorative collectibles printed in Laval, Quebec.

The English and French experience opened as a public preview on October 14, 2026. You can enter without signing in to browse, while development continues. Here is a practical first visit through this immersive shopping experience.

Understand the room and the products

The room presents a selection rather than the entire catalogue. Department labels include Bears, Ducks and Gnomes. The welcome host is labelled an “Automated shop character”; it is part of the digital scene.

Shelf displays can be enlarged to make pieces easier to find. The interface invites you to pick a piece up to inspect its size. Treat that as a digital viewing action: check the displayed dimensions and the ordinary product page before choosing a physical piece for your shelf. A screen view does not establish fit in your home, and picking up a model does not place an order.

Take a short first tour

  1. Enter the preview. Open the Virtual Shop and choose Enter the virtual shop. The room loads after entry. The public-preview notice and Classic shop link remain available.
  2. Move and look. On the desktop interface, choose Explore with mouse, use WASD to walk and the mouse to look. With the 3D view focused, aim at a piece and use Enter to inspect it. Escape releases the cursor.
  3. Find and inspect a piece. Search for a product, choose a result and select Take me there. Aim at a piece and press Enter, then check its name in the panel. Carry it puts the virtual model in hand and closes that panel; Details reopens it.
  4. Read the product listing. In the piece’s details, View full details links to its ordinary product page. Items needing choices can show Choose options or Choose your finish. Some items offer direct cart addition, so the buying path is not identical for every piece.

The inspected piece in the desktop walkthrough was Llama Bear with Pink Scarf. Its product page is the place to read what you would buy and review the available choices. You can also browse the Bears collection in the regular store.

The 3D representation helps you discover a piece. Use the live listing for its product details, options, availability and price, then review the usual cart and checkout before committing. Entering the preview is not a purchase, and this walkthrough does not promise a particular finish, stock level or delivery date.

Browser access and the regular-store alternative

The room needs JavaScript and WebGL. Launch checks used Chrome on desktop and a mobile-sized viewport with touch emulation. The mobile-sized interface showed touch instructions, but its complete movement and pickup path was not exercised. These browser visits needed no separate app installation or VR headset; the browser still loads the room’s web assets. They do not establish support for every browser, physical phone or headset.

If the room does not load well, or you prefer product cards, open the regular 3DCentral store. The French Virtual Shop offers the localized preview and its own regular-store exit.
